blurb about our work
Volunteers will set up and run informational booths at parks, schools, hospitals, and other community spaces, serving as the face of Be the Cure. They will engage with visitors, answer questions, and distribute awareness packages to educate and inspire potential donors and registrants.
Volunteers in this team play a crucial role in raising awareness about stem cell donation within diverse ethnic communities. Their responsibilities include translating and/or designing a variety of educational materials, such as flyers, posters, infographics, and blog posts. By ensuring that this vital information is available in multiple languages, volunteers help bridge language barriers, foster greater understanding, and encourage participation in stem cell donation efforts across different cultural groups and ethnic minorities.
Volunteers will receive all the necessary components to assemble the information packets, including brochures, infographics, Be the Cure stickers, and QR code flyers. They will be responsible for organizing and packaging these materials before shipping the completed packets to designated locations. These packets will then be distributed at booths or in hospitals to help educate the community on donating stem cells.
Volunteers in this team create high-quality educational videos and other informative content to raise awareness about stem cell donation. This includes addressing the minority disparities, explaining the stem cell registry, clarifying the donation process, and highlighting its life-saving impact. Content often features interviews with medical professionals, patient testimonials, and expert insights to provide accurate and compelling information. Volunteers collaborate on scripting, video production, editing, and outreach to ensure that the materials effectively engage and inform the community.
